The Taj and the Yamuna

The Taj Complex and the Yamuna
When the Taj was built, there was a vibrant river near it, which lent the tomb structure some additional beauty. Over a period of time, the growth of human civilization has sucked the river Yamuna dry, and hence this photo shows it a bit sadly. You see a small portion of water flowing past the Taj, instead of a river on which there would be a lot more activity.
