The Hatshepsut mortuary temple, is one of the most important monuments located in the Luxor region, the temple dedicated to one of the few female pharaohs in Egyptian history. It is also the site of a horrific massacre, which happened in the year 1997, when a group of terrorists, disguised as police trapped tourists inside the temple and killed 58 of the tourists, resulting in a huge drop in tourism.
