Cairo Pyramids - The small hillocks surrounding the Great Pyramid in Giza, with the desert starting at this point

This is a view of the surrounding countryside, right next to the Great Pyramids. There are hillocks, and it is not yet the fine sand that forms the Sahara desert, but it is getting close to those conditions.
