At the entrance to the magnificent temple of Karnak in Luxor, there are the huge entrance gates. In addition, what is also fascinating are these rows of stone statues of the Sphinx, arranged in a row. Some of them have suffered damage over the years, but considering that these statues were actually put in place a millenia before Christ, it is fairly spectacular that they have retained their appearance.
