Colossi of Memnon, one of the 2 large statues of the Pharaoh Amenhotep III in Luxor, Egypt
This is a part of 2 large statues, of the Pharaoh Amenhotep III, with these statues being very old, from the period of around 1350 BC. These are huge statues, weighing around 700 tonnes, and being around 18 meters tall. Over a period of time, these statues have been damaged. There was a huge temple, for which these statues stood guard, but nothing remains of that temple today.
