The closed gate - Prints at Saatchiart

The closed gate - Prints at Saatchiart
The closed gate - Prints at Saatchiart
A sign that winter is here. This is a path in a nature path, with the path being a dirt track, and constant vehicle tracks that have made an impression in the rough path, compressing the earth and becoming a hard path that all other vehicles now have to follow. With the onset of fog, visibility gets reduced, such as in this case where the gate (closed) in the distance along the track is not so clearly visible, you need to focus on the image to see it. On both sides are these bushes, that spread to larger trees, both to the sides and in the distance. It is a nice place, but unless you are an admirer of nature, there is really nothing for you to do.
If you like this image and want to get a canvas print or some other wall print, or want to take a look at some of my other image, please check out my Saatchiart page (link).

Trees and tourists at the entrance to the temple of Abu Simbel in south Egypt

Trees and tourists at the entrance to the temple of Abu Simbel in south Egypt

The Abu Simbel temple in south Egypt is located in a barren area, way away from other population centers (and located 280 km from a large city, Aswan). Even though the Nile is running next to this area, the geology and make-up of this section means that the area looks dry and brown rather than having greenery. Just near the temple and inside the complex, there has been some attempts to provide greenery by planting a number of trees.

Pillars, and other structures, inside the Karnak temple

Pillars, and other structures, inside the Karnak temple
A view inside the Karnak temple, where you can see the remains of the structures built over 35 centuries back. There are remains of some pillars, there are walls made of stone blocks, some trees, and gates, etc. There is a scaffolding also there, erected for the restoration of some parts of the temple structure. The Karnak temple is a great example of the architecture of the temples of ancient Egypt.

Cairo Pyramids - People at the entrance to the burial chamber
Tourists at the entrance to the burial chamber to the Great Pyramid of Cheops at Giza. The path is a bit high up on the pyramid with people having to climb upto there; further, there is an entry charge to go inside, and the path is also claustrophobic (not meant for those who cannot stand a stuffy environment).

Scene of Chokhi Dhani when leaving at night, in darkness

Scene of Chokhi Dhani when leaving at night, in darkness
The darkened entry door of Chokhi Dhani, as we are leaving. When we entered Chokhi Dhani, it was evening, with some light in the sky, but as time went by, darkness kept on increasing. And then, by the time we left, it was more like 9 PM, and the only light outside the main door was the lamps that were kept on the main door. There were a couple of people standing in the doorway as well, but the features were not visible in any detail because of darkness in that area.
