The old market of Jaipur is one of the tourist destinations inside Jaipur, and right inside the old market, you have both the Hawa Mahal and the Jaipur City Palace. The place is full of historical architecture, as can be seen from this ceremonial doorway, crafted in a mix of Mughal and Rajasthani cultures.
Why is it that, even when you see so many photos of pigeons or other birds, you cannot resist taking such photos of your own ? So, when I stepped out of the Jaipur City Palace, just outside the gate I saw this tree and electric pole with so many birds either flying over, or perched on top, I was tempted to take photos, and you can see one of them.
This photo is that of a regular tourist path inside the Jaipur City Palace. These are the series of doorways through which people enter or exit the Jaipur City Palace, and you can see atleast 3 such doorways through which people, in this case, seem to be primarily coming out of the compound. This photo would have presented a chance to show the concept of multiple doorways in the distance in one photo, but with so many people, your attraction is taken towards the people rather than the structure.
Getting this shot took me a large amount of time. I was waiting for a time when there would be nobody in this photo (a lot of photos that I had taken had people / tourists in the photo), and given that this was tourist season, had to wait for quite some time.
The photo is not remarkable other than it shows a section of the Jaipur City Palace which is not as well maintained as the other parts are.
