Caves all around the Hatshepsut mortuary temple complex, in the limestone cliffs
The Hatshepsut mortuary temple is surrounded by limestone cliffs that tower over the temple. When I looked at these more closely, it was clear that there were many small cave like gaps in the hills, which could be the tombs of more workers or officials. These hills were made of a material that allowed easy digging.
