Small island in the water near the Abu Simbel temple in south Egypt

The temple of Abu Simbel is located very near the shore of the water, of the lake formed by the creation of the Dam on the river Nile at Aswan. Near the shore, the water levels can be low, and there are a number of small islands. Here is a small island located near the shore, and there are many other such islands in the region.
