Flowers on a lemon plant

We have a lemon plant at home, put in a fairly big sized pot. For 2 years, I have been waiting for anything to show up in the plant besides leaves, but nary a thing happened. And then suddenly, almost like in a single day, there were an incredible number of buds on the plant. It seemed like the whole plant was covered in white, and looks very beautiful.
