Symbols on the wall inside the Queen Hathsepsut mortuary temple near Luxor in Egypt

When somebody thinks of ancient Egypt, some very familiar symbols come to mind. Symbols such as an eye, a shape somewhat like a cross but with the top more rounded, etc, all come to mind. In this photo, taken inside Queen Hathsepsut's mortuary temple, you can see many of these symbols on the wall, having been carved on the walls in a bold position.
