The Karnak temple in Luxor is very popular with tourists. Since Luxor is on the tourist map for almost every tourist to Egypt, it is also expected that they will pay a visit to the Karnak temple, since that is the biggest tourist destination inside the city (the Valley of the Kings and others are outside Luxor).
