Crane near the Karnak temple structure in Luxor

Many of the ancient sites boasted by Egypt that are extremely popular with tourists are actually very close to civilization. In fact, except for the temple at Abu Simbel, other sites such as the ones in Luxor, or the Pyramids / Sphinx in Giza are all very close to large habitation centers. The photo shows an example of the same, with a crane showcasing some construction work near the Karnak temple in Luxor.
